17.10.2008 Games Fest: Two Days From Gamers’ Life
On the 11th and 12th of October the Games Fest took place at Gorbushkin Dvor in Moscow, as a second qualifying round for World Cyber Games 2008. “The main game to draw attention during the Fest was Fable 2. The first thing you notice is the brilliant translation into Russian. Fable 2 is fully localized, including the voiced dialogues. 19.05.2006 Dungeon Siege II
Recently (well, relatively recently :-) released Dungeon Siege II Russian version gets 8 points of 10 for the localization quality in the May 2006 issue of "PC Igri (PC Games)" magazine. Here is a quote from the article: "Anyhow this is the one of the best localizations of late." Let us take this opportunity to remind you about a few interesting "industrial" facts related to the game: it contains almost 300 hundred thousand words of in-game texts with 90 thousand words of spoken dialogues that makes it the biggest game project localized by our Multimedia Dept so far. That is not something ordinary for us as we usually do not place links to web forums here but we just cannot withstand this one: forums.ag.ru/?board=locals&action=display&s=0&num=1118921999&start=150. In short, players on AG.ru forum (AG is the biggest and most respectable Russian PC-gaming portal) thank Logrus team for the great job done on The Bard's Tale localization. Another perfectly localized masterpiece gets great mark for the localization quality :-). With 9 points out of 10 it is named the localization of the month in the April issue of “PC Games” magazine: “Logrus made a perfect translation. Foreign humor is accurately adapted for Russian audience… all jokes are funny indeed. Not only Sam learnt Russian. All NPCs he meets during his journey also speak Russian fluently… But if you did not catch a part of their speeches subtitles should help you. Localized game received 10 point of 10 possible for localization quality from the leading Russian magazine "PC Games". Localised Syberia II, a sequel to the best adventure game of year Syberia (also localised by Logrus), gets a very good press. In its October issue Russian gaming magazine "PC Igri (PC Games)" write about the game: “Adventure is the hardest genre in respect of localization… 1C Company recruited probably its best localization partner, Logrus.
